That oak tree again ...

I've blipped it at least twice before, but not in its winter nakedness. Before it was in full leaf, here for example. It crosses the lane on one of our favourite walks. And every time I admire it afresh. Isn't it a beautiful shape?

Thank you for all your lovely comments, stars and hearts for my 1500th yesterblip! It's been lovely and sunny again today, though with a cold wind, so we went for a walk. Thought I'd share my favourite oak (again)!

Not so long ago, Stephen Hawking expressed the opinion that computers might take over from humans. Hmm. Well, not laptops. See, if I poked my finger in your ear, how long would it take you to notice it was there? Well, quite! Yet I can poke a memory stick in my laptop and it seems to be totally unaware of it ... seconds go by ... more seconds ... maybe even a minute ... then it's "OOH!" Flash Flash!  "Someone's stuck something in my socket ...!!!" Hmm. VAIOs won't take over the world, not even if they're product-placed in James Bond films (as I noticed they were when I watched Skyfall over Christmas). What a waste of time that was. Bond films never used to take themselves too seriously; they were funny, interlaced with a few car/boat/plane chases. Skyfall was boring! No laughs. And Daniel Craig isn't even good-looking. Or am I getting old?!
