Christmas Day: Hockey school & Trivial pursuit

Christmas in the countryside, pure white snow, surrounded by silent nature.

Last night me, my daughter and my mother in law took part to a midnight christmas mass in local church: a beautiful happening with xmas carrols. After the mass we drove by the cemetery to see the sea of candels enlightening it. https://www.flickr.com/photos/auringonkukkatarhassa/ There is some shots from the xmassy church in the link, if you like to see...

So we went late for bed and slept also late.

Hubby is having flu and my daughter also felt A bit tired today. However as we had had some late breakfast me and my son left for outdoor ice rink skating with sticks. (Farewell for the silence around the rink!)

My stick is straight from 1970's:) as well as my hockey skills... Forgotten almost. And I have no hockey skates, only skill skates. Anyway...

...in the blip you see my son "in flames" - keeping me a two hour lesson about different styles how to pass the hockey puck and how to keep your balance with skates and stick. Oh, we had so lovely time togheter, there was marvellous weather, -8c and partly clear skies, no wind... Finally the rink was so growded by players and families skating. So we left home to test the new Trivial Pursuit master -edition game my son got for xmas present. Tricky questions, and we had company and help from the rest of the family - and finally I won with only 1 point...

Lovely day. Hope you had one too!
One day christmas holidays left in Finland. How about you?
