Tentative Steps

I'd assumed Ethan would automatically love playing by the seaside. However, he has been rather unsure of the beach and the waves. He isn't too keen on walking on the sand by himself, often preferring to be carried over the sand. And takes a bit of coaxing to paddle in the sea. However, he has done it a few times now and is ok, as long as I'm very close by. He has also helped me build sandcastles ... or should that say he has watched me build them and then he takes great delight in knocking them back down again!

He hasn't been eating very much, or very well since we have been here. Even things he normally loves, such as yoghurts, are being knocked back. All the meals are buffet style so we're picking small portions of lots of different things for him to try. But although he does give most things a go, lots of them are being spat back out with a look of disgust and an exclamation of "no nice" afterwards. Apart from chocolate ice-cream cones of course! To be fair, I'm not that enthusiastic about some of the food here either but I've often found hotels abroad don't cater very well for vegetarians, so that's no big surprise.
