Bad timing
Had I been paying attention I might have realised that after a big lunch out at our neighbour's house wasn't the most conducive time to learning a new and apparently complicated board game. I think their faces say it all. We had a quick couple of rounds of what may or may not have been right and cut our losses. Dinner and relaxing on the sofa in front of Santa Clause restored a level of world order and the rest of the evening slipped by with more jigsaw activity. There is a possibility I made a little progress.
