Daylight, fading

Not too much inspiration to be found in the daylight earlier today - grey skies and none of the luminosity of yesterday. I just managed to get a shot as it was fading fast, before we were swallowed up by the shops and artificial stars and lights.

After much hivering and havering, I splashed out today on a new Nikon D3200, plus a long lens. Still an entry-level camera, but that's probably all I'm ready for - and it should help me to learn. I'm still more nervous about whether I've done the right thing than excited about the purchase - let's see how I feel tomorrow.

Otherwise, another lovely, relaxing day with the family. Off up to the Wirral tomorrow, to stay with No. 2 daughter, dropping in on my brother and sis-in-law on the way. HH's sister, her son and two of our great-nephews are also on the Wirral, and No 1 daughter and family are coming up to join us, so sounds like a good family Christmas.
