Chirp
After yesterday's blip of Mr Blackbird, I thought it might be appropriate to get a shot of one of the young blackies, who the adults have been busy feeding. There's no doubt when the chicks are out of the nest as their chirps are quite distinct and usually give their position away.
Anyway, this young chick took up almost the identical position that Mr Blackbird was in yesterday, so its interesting to compare them both. I always think these chicks look a bit ungainly and far too big to be just out of the nest. This one looks as if its been learning to feed itself, going by the soil on its beak!
Been a busy day working at the Network Centre, clearing out drains and gutters that were totally choked up. At least if its another wet Summer the rain will be able to drain away and not damage the fabric of the buildings!
