Very social

Had a really lovely day. Went to the Lucian Freud exhibition in London. It was interesting to see so much of his work together. It emphasised how much he was a man's man. Despite his prolific fathering of children, his portrayals of his female sitters have a coldness about them that isn't present in his paintings of men. Best quote I overhead was from a very posh woman who said to her husband 'he's awfully good at dogs, isn't he?'

Then on to a very nice restaurant called Pollen Street Social. I'd been there for work a few months ago and really wanted to go back with Karen. Here's a quick blip of her in the cocktail bar before we ate. My cocktail was called a Thyme Traveller - tequila, apple cider and essence of thyme. Absolutely delicious - tried to blip that but it was out of focus - and that was before I drank it!
