Winchester Great Hall

This is the only bit that remains from the thirteenth century castle, but what a fantastic "remain". Surely one of the finest medieval halls in the country.

Home to the famous Round Table (which had previously been thought to date from the time of King Arthur, but has subsequently been shown to also date to the thirteenth century)
