Seeing Double
Last night, we had several downpours of rain...my goodness, the rain sounded as though it was pounding on the roof!
This morning, when I walked out the back door, I could smell the Lilacs as a small breeze swept the fragrance to the deck. I decided since the beautiful Double White Lilacs are nearly at their peak, I should take some photos of them.
Can you imagine my surprise when I came out a few minutes later to be greeted by at least twenty Red Admiral Butterflies perched all over the bush? I watched as they moved from tiny flower to flower....sometimes chasing after one another!
As I snapped away to my heart's delight, the little butterflies moved around. I was thrilled to capture not one, but two little butterflies on one of the pretty bracts.
Ah, if only every day could be filled with butterflies and flowers!
