Surfing Waves

I went surfing for the fourth time in my life this morning. We arrived at Playa Linda, a 20 minute drive north of Zihua, to some incredible waves. Carlos, my instructor on our previous trip last week, was very excited. I, on the other hand, was more than a little nervous. I don't yet have enough experience to handle such surf, so after struggling to paddle out past the break I sat and watched wave after wave roll onshore. I finally caught one of the smaller waves and rode it to shore (mostly using my nine-foot, learner surfboard as a bodyboard), out of the pummeling surf.
