Yellow Coat

I'm not very organised in many aspects of my life. But I do like to be organised when it comes to buying Ethan's clothes - that combined with my love of a good deal means I'm always snapping up bargains in the next size up whenever I see them.

I was out shopping with Grannie & Grandpa last year when Grandpa spotted this yellow coat in Debenhams and offered to buy it for Ethan. So we got it in age 2-3 so it would fit him for winter 2011/2012. However, for some bizarre reason Ethan has taken a complete dislike to it and has downright refused to wear it all winter. It has become a bit of a joke now that when I hold it up and say "do you want to wear your yellow coat today Ethan", the response is a firm shake of the head and "no yellow coat" as a reply. As Debenhams stuff is on the small side, I was starting to think this coat was never going to be worn as it will be too small for him come next winter. But today when I did the "yellow coat today Ethan?" routine, he actually agreed and wore it to nursery and back! Perhaps it's because I've also been telling him over the past week that Grandpa will be very sad he has never worn the yellow coat and has now been parroting back to me "Grandpa sad?" when I pick it up!
