One day at a time!

By smilesf0rdays

Listen with care
And understand if you dare
Hazel eyes see a sunrise
But the sun knows a disguise
Blue eyes are blind
Fearing what's already behind
The eyes all see the same
Are all built the same
But blue plays a different game

Feeling what rain soaks through
She's lucky because
Hazel eyes admire and love too
Swept up in changing colors
Blue and fearful she loses it
Let's herself wash in his lust
for when dust is scrubbed away
Love can always come out to play

Enveloped in change
Hazel eyes are not strange
Like the ones blue saw before
These ones are much different
These eyes are much more
In them there is purity
And he is concerned,
So he strokes her cheek and helps her
To hide from insecurity
