Fungi Aseroe Rubra

More commonly know as the anemone stinkhorn or Starfish Fungus.
It has a foul smell which attracts flies - they feed on it then carry the spores off on their feet and bodies and spread them. This one was huge - if I'd been game to touch it or get close to it and unfurl those tentacles it would have measured a good 25cm from tip to tip.
