W is for wet paint
...only, why would you daub the words "wet paint", in paint that will dry and leaves a permanent statement about wet paint which is no longer the case?
I ask you.
[There are times when I think I probably shouldn't be let loose on the public.]
Taken in Edinburgh, where I got saturated, walking from Waverley to Clerk Street for a very enjoyable visit to the RCAHMS. The rain stopped precisely 5 minutes before I arrived, just in time to spot this sign.
Not relevant, really, but in the search room of the RCAHMS, one of the windows was open and I could hear a goldcrest singing its heart out. Struck me that the only thing I tend to hear in my library is either the patter of rain overhead, the occasional seagull tap dancing, or students at top volume.
