Storytimeee

Today I set 2 alarms to make sure I got up on time. It worked and I arrived at the school just in time to begin. Today I was helping Oscar with the older children and taught some English. He left during the break and I was with the younger kids after that. We had a story telling session where one of the previous pupils read. It was good but very difficult trying to keep all the kids settled and stop them from running around the room/outside. Then we did some drawing and colouring and then the class was over.

I decided to go back to the hostel for lunch because it was so so warm. It was definitely a good call as I was able to sit in the pool whilst reading and eating lunch for an hour to cool down. When I headed back into the cenre I couldn't find the Brisa Local hostel to save my life. After walking round a few streets I ran into Oscar and Jason by chance, it was so lucky, and we headed to Oasis to the other school.

There it was sort of hectic today because Sarah didn't come and the students were rowdier than usual with other children hanging about the school and throwing gravel and stones at the door.We only stayed for an hour and a half. When we left we saw a man and his children with their donkey. Donkey's are used everywhere over here for transporting goods. But it's so cruel and they all look so frail. This one in particular was being beaten by the man before chasing off onto the road towing along a trailer. It's so sad.

I got a taxi back to the host;el cause I felt lazy. It was a nice evening, the couple in my room introduced me to the amaazing icecream shop in the shopping mall close by which I'm worried about as I think I'm going to be making regular appearence. When we got back I got showered and sorted and we watched the movie se7en. I chatted to the girl Rach for the rest of the night before going off to the hammocks and watching the people salsa dancing!
