Gates and Statues

I was stuck in the big city again (Flint), for 5 hours. It was a nice day (60ish), so I decided to return for a walk around Glenwood Cemetery. I went there last winter, but it was cold and gloomy (maybe as a cemetery should be.)

Or...maybe not. The flowering trees and the tulips sure brighten things up. The robins and the woodpeckers added their own kind of music. Even the hum of the lawn mower and the trimmer added something. Perhaps it doesn't have to be doom and gloom.

The gates are magnificent. Wrought iron to the max. Heavy. Old. Well-crafted. But...they didn't keep me out. I swung one closed to take my shot.

My wife saw me preparing the female statue. "Why is she holding her boobs?"...Lisa asked. "Good question"...I answered. If I find out...I'll keep her abreast of the situation.

I put the pointy guy underneath her on purpose. Like all of us guys...he can hardly hold it in. "Look at that lady!!!...she's grabbing her boobies!!!" Women have to know that we never grow up.

Ended up at the Flint Public Library. Call me old-fashioned if you want...but how can it be comfortable to walk around with your pants hanging around your thighs? I'll never understand, and maybe should quit trying to understand. The only boxers I want to see are the big brown dogs.

One more rant. I was stting near a long row of computers, and one young lady was ear-plugged into her machine. You couldn't hear the music...but you could certainly hear her as she sang along. La-la-la-la-la-la-la. She didn't have a bad voice, but it was mildly annoying. (And it wasn't just me!)

Life in the big city. Droopy drawers, and a Jennifer Hudson wanne-be.
