Ten eggs for number 10

Today Alexander's family came to see the house for the first time. He spent the majority of Saturday preparing food & organizing for their arrival.

They were going to assist with the garden but obviously that has been put on hold for the time being.

In addition to Bear's feast, I baked.
As a thank you to my mum & Haydn (for their help last week) I also made them a cake with the same recipe that I was using to make the chocolate muffins for the "in-laws".

All in all I used ten eggs!!! It felt like ages cracking them all & dropping them in my mix....

Anyway, the final result was pretty nice despite me messing up the recipe (because I wasn't concentrating...) plus the addition of chocolate Philadelphia topping was a bonus....(actually I just realised, this is the same recipe as my Bake yourself happy cakes from the other week...!)

My mum liked her cake, but insisted on returning half of it back to us- it sits in the fridge & awaits greedy consumption.

Rubbish that the weekend is over already, not looking forward to the week ahead. I don't like Sunday nights anymore.
