Rainy Day in Monterey

We knew that rain had been predicted, so when the rain arrived this morning we were not surprised. We had soft rain all day. It was lovely. We didn't really sleep late, but had a slow start to our morning (vacations are supposed to be lackadasical, right?). We knew exactly where we wanted to have breakfast, the Monterey Bay Beach Resort, and arrived there with about 15 minutes to spare before breakfast ended and lunch began. It was perfect. The place was void of customers and very serene. We both ordered the garden omelette and watched the ocean roll wave after wave.

We spent the rest of the day exploring and discovering and finding new places and things to see. We looked at neighborhoods we'd never seen before and eyeballed some lovely old homes. We stopped at a couple of thrift stores so Mr. Fun could find a few used CDs and DVDs. It's always a thrill to find some good music for a buck. Today he found a DVD that is a four-in-one, called the Wedding Collection. They are Monster-in-law; The Wedding Singer; The In-Laws; The Bachelor. We've seen a couple of these, but all four of them will be fun to watch.

Even with the rain, this was a thoroughly enjoyable day.
