Monday: A-Maize-Ing
How predictable is this title?!
The weather today was so lovely, even if it was chilly, so off for a drive we went. We have seen some amazing scenery today - it was really hard to know what to post - this really is the most beautiful country.
We drove up to Krapina which is famous for being the site where a large number of Neanderthals were discovered (or rather, relics of a Neanderthal community, as opposed to some forgotten tribe living in the wilderness). To be honest, there wasn't much else there....
So on we went to Veliki Tabor, an old castle on top of a hill - the drive there was spectacular. We then circled round to visit Kumrovec, famous for being the birthplace of Tito and now an open-air museum.
I am not up on my seasonal foods but everywhere we went, maize was hanging out to dry - I think it must be maize season. Call me clever!!
