Deserted Easter Sunday Streets

One thing we have discovered today is that everything, and I mean everything, closes down here for Easter Sunday.

We had a really productive morning at home - sorting out things that still needed to be sorted - and deciding where we are going to hang pictures etc. We then decided that we would meander through town to get our bearings a bit more which we did. Then we decided we were thirsty so a beer would be a nice treat - could we find anywhere open? Could we heck! In the end, we did find a wee little place, quite hidden away. And where was it? Yes, in 'British Square' - trust the Brits to semi-deliver!

This shot is going from Upper Town into Lower Town - please note the number of pedestrian crossings! Even as a pedestrian, I think that is vaguely excessive....
