Day 5 - Martha's Vineyard

Out on the bikes late morning - probably been 20+ years since I last cycled but after a few wobbles we were soon heading north to see the West Chop lighthouse. From there we headed south to Oak Bluffs, where glorious sunshine changed to a few showers, so we took refuge in the Offshore Ale brew pub and had lunch (pulled pork sandwich for me, tuna melt for J).

The rain got worse, so eventually we decided to just go for it and head back to Vineyard Haven... and got drenched. Absolutely soaked. Sodden. Locals must have thought we were mad as we cycled furiously through puddles to get back. 13.6 miles done though - not bad.

Oh well - nothing a hot shower couldn't sort out. We then took the car and had a cheeky coffee and carrot cake in the Black Dog bakery, then went to East Chop drive to see the spectacular sunset - a perfect (and dry) end to a fun day.
