Day 6 - Martha's Vineyard

After yesterday's cycling exertions today called for a more gentle approach. Brunch in Vineyard Haven first at The Black Dog Tavern - by all accounts a bit of a tourist trap but off season a quiet, cosy place for tasty pancakes (me) and omelette (J). From there we headed west to the quieter parts of the Vineyard, driving first to the general store at West Tisbury, then Gay Head Lighthouse at Aquinnah, and back via Menemsha harbour (as seen in Jaws).

Having seen most of the island now we drove back to Vineyard Haven for some shopping on Main Street then a quick coffee and cookie at Mocha Motts.

Finally returned to the house to vegetate the rest of the afternoon - nothing left to see and it is meant to be a restful holiday after all. Back on the ferry to the Cape tomorrow. Shame...
