Show Time

I belong to two rival horticultural societies in neighbouring villages. For the first time both had their Spring Flower shows on the same Saturday. What to do? Should I spread my entries thin and enter some classes in each show or concentrate all my entries on one? In the end I decided on the latter, entering 12 classes in the show where I'm on the organising committee. It was an excellent spring show, perfect weather and bumper entries especially in the narcissi classes . I was quite pleased to come away with six firsts and two seconds. Part way through the afternoon I went over to the other village (changing out of one society's T-shirt into the others T-shirt en route) to spend some time looking around their show.
