Yes, more archaeology in Paisley. I think this is the footing of an internal wall in a Mediaeval Refectory kitchen. Honest!
On the near side of the trench, one edge is just about where the shadow falls.
It was a beautiful day, but the massive contrast in the trench formost of the day made photographing the remains almost impossible.

I perhaps should have made it clear that yesterday's gargoyle is a modern one, replacing some dangerously unstable originals...cheekily based on the brilliant HR Giger design :)
