Over the brow of the hill, the great highway, known to the ancients as the Beesev Endouble O'Seffen, turned East, revealing the mighty city of Dun Eideann.
It had been a wearisome journey from the Land of the Southron, but as the sun set, our hearts were lifted by the familiar sight of home.
There lay the citadel, to the West lay the slopes of Hi Llend, at the end of the mountain range that formed the Land of Pent.
Glittering campfires of the besieging armies crowded the city round; the forces of Craig the Lockheart, Gil Merton and Dull Keith. Just east of the mountain where Arthur sat were the lights of the camp of the uncouth and dangerous Niddryites.
