Memories.

My Mum was born today in 1906 in Langham,Scotland. Where my grandfather was a gardener for the big estate. They moved to Bradford when she was 3 and he became head gardener for Sir James Hill, at Well Wood, Allerton.
She lived until nearly 102!
These are a few of the photos I have including her wedding photo, golden wedding photo, and the centre one when she was 100, holding her card from the Queen!

She always said today was the first day of Spring, which was very appropriate for her as she loved flowers and the countryside.

One of her favourite places was Bolton Abbey, and there is a photo of the two of us taken outside the tea shop there.( Many years ago. I had dark hair then!!!!!)
