Open Day!

A memorable day for Leeds.
We were among the 100,000 people who went to the opening of the new Trinity Leeds shopping centre.

This shows the 15m high horse sculpture, by Andy Scott.
Named Equus, inspired by Leeds historical use of pack horses.
It weighs 2 tonnes and took 5 days to assemble.

Trinity Leeds designed by Chapman Taylor, is the only major retail developement to complete in Western Europe this year.

In the background, and through the glass domed roof, you can see the Georgian tower of Holy Trinity Church.

What a great atmosphere there today.
I'm sure it is going to be a great success.

I am looking forward to going back in a few weeks when it won't be as busy to have a better look round.
