Bachelor's Buttons

Not quite sure why this is the common name of this shrub.
Keria japonica "pleniflora" is its botanical name.
Just begining to flower in our garden. I grow it to cover a fence, although it is usually grown as a shrub. Needs cutting back hard or else it takes over.

How the garden has come on since we were away.
I love this time of year. You can almost see the buds unfurl, especially today as it has been so warm and sunny.
The forcast is good for next week too. Only hope it lasts until the 31st March as my nephew is getting married that day.If the weather changes I'm going to be cold!!
And so is the bride!
