Day 66

Today was the children's Christmas party at the club, so we spent the day setting everything up and sorting out the hall. Sam went to Leeuwenbosch with Siseko to go and sort out the quad bike, as for the party Santa always arrives on a quad bike. When he got back we had finished at the club for the time being and were lying in the sun on the porch outside our house, as today was really hot. We had a rest this afternoon and then went over to the club to finish putting everything out. People started arriving at about 4 and so we chatted to people and I introduced Sam to the people he hadn't met at the Ulovane party. Then we had chirstmas carols and stuff and while that was going on Stacey and Sam came over to our house to dress Sam up as Father Christmas. When he was dressed he took the quad bike up to the main gate and waited for everyone to come outside and then drove down the driveway ringing the bell and shouting ho ho ho. It was so funny. He was really good at being Father Christmas and the children loved him. Everyone kept saying to me that he made a really good father Christmas. The last people left at about 10.30 and so we locked up the club and came home.

This photo was taken just outside the club just after Sam had had his photo taken with lots of children. Will asked all the children to stand aside so he could 'take a photo of Santa with the bar maid, because he has a crush on her'. It was really embarrassing!
