Home Baking

Yesterday we ran out of time for baking a chocolate cake, so decided to do it today. I needed a day in the house from overdoing it yesterday, but to be fair, it would probably have been less work and less stress to go out somewhere!

H enjoyed making the chocolate cake, and from the very start was asking to lick the bowl. Unfortunately at one point she actually put her head inside the entire bowl so had messy chocolatey hair! It turned out quite well, and she liked decorating it with Smarties too (when she wasn't shoving handfuls of them in her mouth).

Gran and Papa took her out after lunch and they went to a new soft play with a giant slide. I cleaned the bomb site of a kitchen, cooked dinner and watched a bit of TV to relax. Not what I had planned for my due date but never mind - I can't have long to go now!
