There be dragons....

Peebles is a bright, cosy town. It is on the banks of River Tweed which, at this point is flowing in casual meanders across the wide green valley bottom. On either side the forested slopes rise quite gently. Yet gain some height, and you see beyond, in the near distance, the hills of the Borders. There is still snow on the tops, which look bare and menacing, a world away from the busy little town.
