Artist in Residence

Spent the day with another school group at Wakehurst today. Unfortunately, there never seems to be the opportunity to get any good photos during the day as it's just too hectic - and even if it wasn't, it all still looks fairly barren at the moment, although there are bulbs and buds coming out all over the place and I predict that within a month not only will the place be a sea of colour but there will be no end of ducklings, goslings and moorhen chicks for me to chase!

The children today were very lucky, as we currently have an 'Artist in Residence' who is painting views of both Wakehurst and other nearby gardens and he took some time out to talk to the children. As well as this sort of painting, he is also a children's illustrator but one little boy wasn't very impressesd to find that no, he hadn't done 'Cars 2'.
