Spring?

Happy St. David's Day! I've done several daffodil blips recently, so I'm offering three beautifully chilled local eggs -- wyau, in Welsh -- for the first day of the third month of the year.

A friend of ours gave us a dozen lovely eggs from her home flock -- a wonderful gift! -- and I've been longing to photograph them. When we awoke to another light snowfall gracing our neighborhood today and continued cold, gray weather (37F/4C), the promise of spring in these eggs was irresistible, as was the snowy background of our deck.

Despite the weather, new to my ear this morning were many different bird songs, even on the very short walk that Miss Annie takes now, so spring is definitely in the air -- at least for birds!
