Telephone Man

Seeing as it's been a bit of a retro weekend and things come in threes. (so they say) I've yet to see a 3 finger twix!

I've dug out my first mobile phone, the Nokia NHK-1XA, I believe we bought this in 1995.

John Lewis were one of the very few outlets you could purchase it from and for a mere £349 it was yours!

Those of you with l-o-n-g memories may remember the Orange Airship that flew around the country at the time, promoting the fledgling telephone network.
(I think they've done pretty well since)

This was the first phone that you could send SMS messages! :)

Of course you had to have someone to send them to! :|

Nowadays every Tom, Dick or Harriet has a mobile, or two.

Well 17 years on and we're still orange customers, mobile phones have moved on quite a bit from then and so have we.
