Spring it on!
A little bit of blue sky and everything feels rosie doesn't it. Looked beautiful out there today.
6:30 am start (ouch) but the girls were great at keeping shh till daddy woke up.
Went to Milton Keynes' first vintage wedding fair this morning. It just so happened to be at the location of our wedding reception venue so we wanted to get a few ideas for our decorations while we were there. There were some super swing singers. That's probably not what they're actually called but that's what they sounded like. 3x 1940s style women, singing into old style microphones. They certainly looked the part. meanwhile, hairdressers were offering 'victory rolls' for a fiver.
The fair was good but not very buggy friendly. Luckily, the sun was shining so we hung around outside while the kids ate their free handmade, local ice-cream from 'Betty' the vintage ice-cream van. We saw a lovely refurbished camper van and beetle for wedding hire too, but they're already booked for our wedding date.
After lunch we arranged a bike ride with The Baulards so Sara and I could go for a run. The distraction of having the kids there meant we ran further and faster than usual. Maybe also, running earlier in the day, rather than after dinner and the mad hour putting the children to bed allowed us to have some extra energy to hand.
The blip is of M today. She does like to frown, so a rare playful moment in front of the camera is great fun for me too.
I keep trying to get a good pic of E as I've not done one of her for a while. She's at that age where she either gets cross with me when I get the camera out, or starts behaving like a performing seal. Both not good looks. Maybe tomo then x
