Thunder storm over Hampstead Heath

This afternoon's shoot was of post boxes in the Holborn area.

However I was tipped off that there was a particularly good one in Hampstead, so popped up there after dinner.

Even after 6-30pm it's impossible to park in the village, so I drove up to Jack Straws Castle and walked down the hill. As I walked past the pond the sky turned gun metal gray.

Within minutes the clouds opened and torrential rain started to fall. I just had enough time to take a couple of shots then bolted back to the car.
