And to think this girl used to be terrified of the hoover!
We've had a lovely day today... We did some watercolour painting to start off with. Amelie was a bit confused that it was different to her normal paints but seemed to enjoy it all the same, especially just painting with dirty water. A bit of hoovering next, then we did puzzles in her room where she impressed me at how quickly she can now do the puzzles she has. She just raced through them, only hesitating when we got to a couple of more complicated ones which are really for when she is a bit older. She's always been good at matching the pictures/shapes but really struggled to fit them into the spaces. Now she is slotting them in like a pro! She's also pretty good at her 2 piece jigsaws, but has to assemble them in the air and then lay them on the ground! I've ordered some 3 piece jigsaws for her birthday. She didn't want to go down for a nap but was asleep pretty quickly when I put her down.
In the afternoon we walked round the shops (Amelie was making me laugh so much, walking around and picking things up saying ''I like this, oh this is nice, I'll buy this'') and ended up at Waitrose for a hot chocolate. She sat so nicely with me drinking, stirring and occasionally getting up to look out the window we were sitting next to.
We got home and Daddy was home early as he is heading out to work for a few hours tonight. He took Amelie to Halfords to get some screws and apparently she was doing some shopping in there too (car seats for babies I believe!)
When I was getting her ready for bed she took my hairbrush and started brushing my hair;
Mummy - "Oh thank you Amelie, is Mummy beautiful?"
Amelie - "Nooo"
Mummy - "Oh. Is Amelie beautiful?"
Amelie - "Nooo"
Mummy - "Is Granny beautiful?"
Amelie - "Nooo"
Mummy - "Is Nana beautiful?"
Amelie - "Nooo"
Mummy - "Is Auntie Emma beautiful?"
Amelie - "Nooo"
Mummy - "Is Auntie Jan beautiful?"
Amelie - "Nooo"
Mummy - "Who is beautiful then Amelie?"
Amelie - "PAPA IS BEAUTIFUL!!"
