Amelie and I decided to walk to the big Tesco today. It took us 20 minutes walking at full speed (with Amelie in the buggy) so not as bad as I thought! Amelie had some snacks in the buggy whilst I had a look around and then we went for a hot chocolate and toastie in the cafe. I popped her back in the buggy for a bit and then we went to go home...as soon as I got outside she saw the Bob the Builder digger ride thing and wanted to drive 'builder bob'. So I let her sit in it and then found some pennies in my pocket so let her have one shot. Her face was so funny! I then got her out so we could walk home (with her walking too, as I'd promised). Uh oh. You would have thought that the world was ending the fuss she made. Eventually I calmed her down and we walked the length of the car park to get to the path towards home and then she had another meltdown as she didn't want to hold my hand (pretty essential in a busy car park beside a busy road). I warned her she would be going in the buggy if she couldn't hold my hand and thats exactly where she ended up. She wasn't happy about it at all and screamed for quite a bit, until I stopped to strap her in properly and we saw a little mouse in the bushes! Thank goodness for the mouse, Amelie calmed right down and we managed a pleasant walk home.
I think she is exhausted from all her night time tantrums which in turn causes more. Fingers crossed for a more peaceful night tonight.
