Faluda
Surprisingly, the ice cream shop was closed today. After the recent cold snap it is now a balmy 6C. Many things attracted me to this blip: the pink shutters; the giant ice cream; the attractive street name sign; but, most of all, "faluda." My researches tell me it is a cold and sweet beverage made by mixing rose syrup with vermicelli, psyllium or basil seeds, jelly pieces and tapioca pearls along with either milk, water or, as is probably the case at this establishment, ice cream. Sounds delicious.
