Evening all,

We all woke up to snow today, but where we were the snow started to melt soooo fast, that by the time i'd got round to turning the adolescent out of the pit the opportunity to get in the back field and have a sledge was becoming limited.

Thats not to say the field was empty, indeed it was lovely to see so many familes with children charging around and attempting to make snowmen and have a gung ho sledge down the slight hill.

I often think snow is a good barometer of age, to children it is like manna from heaven, white gold to be treasured and enjoyed.

To adults it becomes a bit of an inconvenience and is usually associated with transport difficulties, and to the elderly and infirm it is more of a danger and a threat, and something to be enjoyed from the warmth and safety of indoors.

I'm in the second category at the moment, but i sense it won't be long till i hit the third....so i'll enjoy it while i can!
