Walking 'The Woundales'.

A very cold and frosty start to the day. Began by throwing together carefully preparing a curry and turning it into the slow cooker to simmer for the rest of the day.
As the ground is really churned up and muddy round the fields, decided to walk the Woundales. This is a small area on the edge of our village. The circular route goes on narrow country roads and passes through our neighbouring village. It also passes the home of a very special character who is the heart of the Woundales. He lives on his own now so is always pleased to see people pass. Not quite a farm, but plenty of land and the most amazing collection of animals from rescued battery hens, peacocks, donkeys, sheep - the list goes on. He even had wallabys and emu at one time. The geese had obviously just heard him rattle a tin as they raced across the field to get to the yard at the back of the house. These geese will definitely not end up on the dinner table!
Back for lunch, then Blip, now a spot more piano practice before chapel.
'Call the Midwife' and 'Birdsong' on TV this evening, my cup runneth over - almost!
