A well earned rest!
This large Wensleydale tup has been busy as evidenced by his smudged red chest area. He is now in a field well away from the ewes who are due to lamb in a couple of weeks I'm told. (watch this space). The geese are glad of his company I'm sure and I'm glad he's with them as he's a deterrent to the fox who killed two a few months ago. A couple of ponies also commune with him through the fence and seem very interested in his movements.
These are the pleasures of walking the same round of fields. It was very windy but that helped blow away a few cobwebs. Earlier I had been venting some frustration on a pile of vegetables and a shoulder of lamb that I perhaps unwisely decided to bone. I did manage it with some small cost to my hand. Who says you only cut yourself with a blunt knife - pah!
The worst thing was the speed of my internet this morning. I was in the middle of booking air tickets when everything ground to a halt. The walk out saved me from throwing 'the technology' out of the window. Good to get outside and put all that out of mind. Several hours later I'm all sorted out with flights and the internet behaved beautifully, all is forgiven.
