Blue - an exciteable welcome

Spent a morning in Oxfam which helped to compensate for last 2 Wednesdays missed. Not very busy, such a cold and wet morning I would liked to have stayed home myself!
It did improve though and the afternoon was quite inviting. Took in some very 'clarty' fields (thank goodness for wellies) and all the animals were out in force and making plenty of noise. When we reached the farm, Blue raced down the track to greet us. She is beside herself with excitement and cries and barks till we are through the gate when she can fling herself at Bracken and then us. A couple of treats later she's on her way back to the farm.
Cooking the pheasant for tonight. After consulting a number of sources and with all the good things I added to the pot I have high hopes. Smells good anyway!
