This marks the end (for this year) of a string of birthdays and anniversaries we have in the household over a period of 5 or 6 weeks - along with Christmas of course. It was Alex's 14th birthday a couple of days back and today he has some invited friends for tea, cake and ... a sleepover... ! As long as that is what they do - sleep - I don't mind. At the moment though, they have boxing gloves on and I am waiting for the first broken item to go crashing to the floor. I am hoping however, that very soon, they will sit down and bring out the dvds and things will quieten down.
