A world without Kodak?

What would a world without Kodak be like? I've known Kodak all my life - it was there when I was born, when I took my first steps, the first time I paddled in the sea. Kodak was there when I married and when our first four children were born.

Just lately though, Kodak hasn't been in my life so much. I've been playing with ones and zeroes for some time now, but it felt good that Kodak was still there, even if I could manage without it.

I know that even when I was well-in with Kodak, I still toyed with others. I can even remember all their names; Agfa Gevaert, Fuji, Sakura, Ilford, Konica, Polaroid and even one I just called 3M. Some of them are still around, but they are shadows of their former selves.

I remember where Kodak used to live too. I knew their places in Holborn and Hemel as if I had lived there - but they've downsized now and left me no forwarding address.

I've got other friends to play with now - Sandisk and Kingston seem to go everywhere with me, but deep inside, I still pine for Kodak.

Don't die Kodak, have a holiday, get fit again. A change of clothes and scenery will make you feel like new again.
