Not working............
I left the house to take SWMBO to get the paper before going to the Cygnet - and there was a lovely pink sky and a huge bright moon.
guess where my camera was? (complete with memory card no less) ..................... in the house.
The first time in ages I went out without it - and missed a great blip.
Found out the heating engineer would be calling after midday so I was able to bundle the Cygnet into my working car and have SWMBO follow me to drop off the sick one with the car doctor.
Then it was back to our house where I decamped to clear the shit hole office so that it was possible to bleed the radiator after the system was drained following the new valve being fitted.
As usual, every time I was just climbing into/out of the loft or was in some other such awkward place, the phone would ring (no I don't want double glazing - no this isn't Asda use the area code you muppet - no I cannot spare a few minutes to do a survey on womens sanitary items .......... you know the sort) or the door bell would go (thank you postie you are so kind even though that tiny thing would fit through the letterbox (yes I ordered one)/ Mr delivery man you are so kind bringing my pictures) ............. see - some interuptions are good.
The engineer arrived, did his bit and left - without the need to bleed the radiators despite having drained the system.
Ahh well - the office needed gutting anyway.
Camera Club committee meeting in the evening - some good things discussed and a bit of a panic when it was found that entries for a competition with 11 other clubs from the Lothians had to be in by Sunday (somehow we thought it was next month).
However - a very quick selection was made for the required number of prints (just as well we were meeeting at the community centre and not somebodies house or the pub).
I got home to find the most god awful tune being played out on/by the pipes in the house.
I am damned sure the radiators should have been bled.
My little friend here got pressed into service ....... several times.
I am sure there is air in the system somewhere but it hasn't been good enough to exit from the radiators that were banging away like an iron foundary.
The heating has been switched off for the night so that SWMBO and I - along with next doors elderly occupants can get some sleep and I will do battle again tomorrow.
