Biker girl

This is an out take from my moped shoot this morning. Rebecca is learning how to ride the bike, ditching the car and saving money. All in a rather scary car park in Dalston (I've never kept my camera bags closer to me in my life before).

Moped tutor had a lot to get through so I kept the shoot as tight as possible but packed in as many set ups as I could (as per the brief). It's always much more tiring for the subject as my adrenalin is pumping, identifying the shots, moving props and sometimes people. She's here to learn and write a story. If I can make the shoot fun and still get my shots all the better.

I got here slightly early to suss out the area and grab breakfast, which, if Ridley Road market was anything to go by, would have been dried fish heads and cow's hooves. I didn't think market likes this existed in London anymore.

Interesting fact of the day: I found one of those free-standing toilets around the back of Sainsbury's. The man maintaining it and told me that cabbies had put a small wedge (of wood, I hasten to add) in the door, before it closed so that their mates could get in for free.

That's either a useful money saving tip or something alarming to think about when you're on the loo and the door suddenly opens!
