EPIC day!!!!

Slow morning today, then took our time to rally out the door - headed down to Portland for the day.

Started off with a couple of great sandwiches from The People's Pig. I would just live off of the food trucks if I lived in Portland. So many to choose from.

Headed back to our hotel for a quick nap (I love the beds at Hotel Deluxe. One of the best sleeps you will ever have).

We then met A & E for an evening of restaurant/bar hopping and noshing. Here's a rundown of how our evening proceeded:

- Drinks and charcuterie at Little Bird Bistro. I had the Manhattan Nouveau - yum.
- Food and drinks at Ping - they ordered a few dishes for us and they were all incredible: baby octopus skewer, quail egg skewer, salapao (steamed buns), nonya-style green beans, deep fried pork shank (which is pictured here - this was so good, and I'm talking if I were to ever order a last meal, this may be it....), ghin thoke (pickled ginger salad with crispy lentils, peanuts, fried garlic, coconut, dried shrimp. And to drink I had the Tamarindo - yum.
- Drinks at Tear Drop - super cool and sexy cocktail bar with fantastic drinks and a collection of over 50 bitters. I had the 40 winks and wish I had stayed to try the Bulkhead (next time.....)
- Food and drinks at Clyde Common - we had the fideos, squid, scallops, sausage, squid ink vinaigrette, aioli, radicchio, chèvre, walnuts, sherry vinaigrette and the grilled steak, glazed cipollini onions, potato, braised greens. To drink I had about a third of the BMOC, but I think I was reaching my limit by this point, so I backed off and let the guys do their thing.....
- next stop was Masu for a few bites of sushi and a couple of rolls. I made sure to drink lots and lots of water by this point.
- our last stop of the evening was Interurban - a great tavern that serves pitchers of negronis and manhattans - which we managed to order one of each....

Needless to say, we were done after that - 9 hours later that bed never felt so good.
