Melrose Abbey

Day Two of our road trip saw us heading down south again to Melrose Abbey. We ended up taking a detour and heading into Kelso for some lunch (£5.45 for a panini, which tasted pretty average anyway!!) upon discovering they had remnants of a cathedral too. And it would have been a stunning one, back in the day!

We learned of the loop of four different cathedrals, including Kelso, and decided to head for each of them. We had been to Dryburgh Abbey before, so we skipped that one and headed for Jedburgh and Melrose. Both stunning!

Unfortunately, by the time we reached Melrose, it was getting dark, so we didn't have time to wander through the Abbey, so we had a coffee and waited till it got dark so I could play with my tripod and catch some nice shots.
