Too Much

2 years 77days

Turns out a six week festive period, including trips across the country, numerous parties, lots of exciting outings and more fun than imaginable, topped off with 3 new teeth and one being very awkward about arriving is enough to make a 2year old fall deep asleep at 10.15 on the way to the thing you've been looking forward to since yesterday!

Katie was awake quite a bit in the night - she was chewing like crazy, on her gummy teether, on her water bottle, attempting to nurse frequently. She has one tooth really blistered and so nearly through, which will take her to a total of 16. Just in time for the 2 year molars to begin appearing. We gave up at 6.30 with attempting to sleep in between the wakings and came down to play.

Despite the night, it has been a very lovely day. We were a little late for going to play with Ava before nastics as Katie had a half hour kip in the car, but still got a nice time with them, although the girls pretty much only played on the spinny things, ate a snack and then went up to gymnastics. They were really pleased to be back, but the funny little creatures of habit were somewhat confused when it was a new song that we did the dancing to. It threw Katie for quite a while - she hates not knowing whats coming or whats happening, so new puts her off! She did go have a few turns on the bars and beam of course though.

After gymnastics, her and I had a nice wander. We just took it at our pace, went where she or I fancied and enjoyed it a lot. She walked the whole time, and ate a pretty good lunch. She fell asleep quite quickly once in the car and had another hour.

Later on this afternoon we went to the library. Katie took a little while to wake up properly from her sleep but soon was pleased to find her favourite corner to snuggle and read, plus the dragon rocker. Even better, after not too long, Kiki arrived with her mummy. Katie and her were having lots of fun reading and playing together, and when it was nearly closing time, they followed the lady round helping with the blinds.

I've enjoyed having time to just potter in the way we love to do, a happy day.
